Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Greensboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was not well seasoned. Dish tasted primarily like pepper and had no other flavor. Risotto was too heavy in for the limited vegetables complimenting it. Crawfish beignets were just fried dough balls with hardly no crawfish or seasoning. Fried okra was soggy and slimy, with breading falling off of okra pieces. Alcohol beverage tasted heavily watered down. Lastly, although we had made a reservation, we were quickly forgotten about sitting outside and did not receive any initial service for over 10-15 minutes. The waiter made inappropriate comments regarding my husbandβs alcohol beverage, and we had to go inside twice to ask for service. Food took over 45-minutes to deliver. The couple sat behind us on the patio just got up and left, and was seated and served immediately at the restaurant next door. It got to the point we went inside and asked for our check so that we could simply pay and leave. Recommend a thorough review and renovation of the menu, and better service training.

INCREDIBLE dining experience! The menu is lovely and the dishes are perfectly executed! I am a chef, born and raised in South East Louisiana. Blue Denim will impress any of my fellow Creole or Cajun natives. The dishes are thoughtful and elevated from traditional Cajun/Creole to something so very tasty. I've been twice in 2 weeks while visiting Greensboro. I will definitely be back every time I'm there. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with beautiful artwork inside. The outdoor dining area is cute as a button. Not so many tables, but right along the front, at the street...great for people watching. We had the same server both times, although I don't recall his name, he too is from Louisiana and worked his service like only a true Cajun would do...gracefully and very hospitable! We loved our interaction with him, made our experience feel like we were visiting relatives! 10 out of 10 recommend! Curious visits we had the Crawfish Beignets, Crawfish Fettuccine, Shrimp and Grits with added Catfish, Crab Ramgoon Dip, Spring Crawfish Risotto and Duck Confit Ja Jambalya (could have been more duck in the dish, but great nonetheless)...every single bite was over the top! I can't pick a favor

Look let me start by saying Blue Denim is probably my favorite restaurant in Greensboro, above a few other objectively fantastic establishments. Primarily because Cajun / creole is just personal favorite. They have my favorite shrimp and grits in town and use the Stone Mill grits near my hometown as the base. That being said, I really hope they can get their service to be more consistent. The last time I went it was relatively decent service but yet still felt they struggled even keeping water glasses filled. Which just fall short of the experience in which I came to Expect with a blue denim. My last critique would be the pricing, certain menu items are almost just comically overpriced, this is not a type of food that should be too over complicated and really the price should be reflective of that however it just simply is not here. All in All, happy to see Blue Denim continuing to do well amidst the other restaurant closures downtown.

Atmosphere was a fail tonight. Very bright as all the wait staff forgot to turn down the lights. I brought 4 guests here tonight to show off the ambiance, service and food of my local hometown restaurant. The waitress was either not trained or just cold and attentive (Knai). Water glasses were empty all night. The small pitcher of warm water placed for 5 guests was not enough to fill our 8 oz glasses half way. Long wait every time we asked for water, not good for cajun cuisine. Pasta was dry and the shrimp was well overcooked. The mocktail was nice and the etouffe flavorful. I don't like to leave negative reviews but the waitress made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome...

The food was absolutely delicious and amazing! When I first arrived it took forever to be greeted even after having reservations. The server made up for it though! He was really nice and knows what he's doing. He had so many tablets alone and was handling them all. The shrimp and grits were the best ever. The bread pudding was delicious as well! Its small inside and I've never liked parking downtown. I've already told my friends about this place and I will be back! Bad parking or not, it's worth the fight lol. I can't remember the name of the dish my sister had but it was just amazing!!! I highly recommend this place!
